Should I blog Daily?

by Krish on August 29, 2008

That is a widely asked question among bloggers, especially among those who just started blogging. If you ask me then I don’t have a definite answer. There are bloggers who do posting once a week and has attaining great success.

For a blog to become successful it should have both quality and quantity. This means that you will need to post at least five times a week but having said that it’s good to start with small number of post in the beginning and focus more on the quality of content for new bloggers.

Again when I say five post every week that doesn’t mean that you should be publishing some unrelated posts every other day. Just make sure that you update the blog regularly, be it with an opinion, a short reference or a review about something interesting.

I’m posting at a rate of once every week. Then spend the rest of the time in chatting up with people, commenting, and other daily activities. :)

Thanks for your comment Daniel. Thats nice to know your blogging rate. It again depends on each individual on how much he want to post in a week based on each persons comfort zone.

Glad to see you here.

Cheers

I think there are no right and wrong answers for this. It depends on whether do you have anything to share with your community. We write for our readers to give them some take away value and not post for the sake of just growing our blog in terms of traffic and readership.

For me, I blog no more than twice per week. I guess you should know that Krish since my blog is on lesson based to guide beginners on blogging. Therefore, I would want to give them some time in between to try out on the lessons task.
